Happy Halloween

We went Trick or Treating with Matthew's friends Zak and Anya. He had so much fun. A few times he tried going in to peoples' houses. He was also very adamant when several people tried to suggest that he was Garth Brooks or Kenny Chesney that "I am NOT Kenny CHesney, I am Matthew"

Matthew and Anya. Aren't they sweet?

No, Bill is not stealing his candy. Zak dropped it and Bill was picking it up

Halloween Party

Matthew's Mommy and Me group had a Halloween party. It was near impossible to get any of them to sit still for pictures. They were too busy playing games, getting tatoos and face painted

Green Meadows Farm

Took Matthew to Green Meadows today> this kid is funny because he loves animals, wants to talk about animals, wants to look at them in books, watch them on TV and movies but when you get to the farm that he is all excited about he doesn't want to go near them. Good thing Granny came with us because Mommy has no desire to touch barnyard animals, especially birds

This is about as close as he would get to one of the pens and he didnt turn his back to any of them. Always looking over the shoulder.

An example of why it is was good that Granny came with us. I didn't have to hold a chick

He wasn't as keen on the duck as he was on the chick

I have to give him credit. I didnt think he would actually go ont he horse but he did. This was Spider. He told Spider he was a good boy

Granny and Matthew caught a duck

On the hay ride

about the only animals he will touch are the goats

everyone got to pick a pumpkin at the end

The Great Pumpkin continued

You would think that this was a fun family occassion based on a few pictures but after these pictures were taken Matthew whined and cried until he crashed on the couch siting up and Collin showed a surprising amount of interest - for COllin - laughed a little and then went to bed. I cleaned out the nasty stuff and made seeds and Bill did all of the hard labor .

Dont let this picture fool you I had to take all of the guts out

It was hard to get a good picture of Matthew's pumpkin. We tried it lit and unlit. it has four dancing ghosts on it

This one was way easier to photograph

The Great Pumpkin

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday. They had a huge selection. Mostly , Matthew wanted to play in the sand but he did pick pumpkins. Once he decided on them he suddenly wanted all of them. He picked out one for him, one for Collin and two little ones. he was most interested in finding a pumpkin for Collin. Collin, of course, could have cared less but Matthew was pleased with himself. They had all of these Peanuts cutouts all over the patch. Matthew liked all of the Snoopy ones

This is the one that he wanted for Collin first but we settled on one a little smaller

Now we have to get to the carving

Camping at Moss Park

We have not been camping since our vacation this summer and have not been to Moss Park since the winter so we were happy to go. Matthew talked about it all week. We toasted marshmallows last year but he was really into it this year

Nice, Bill. We are toasting them, not making a torch (I do love my marchmallows burned)

It was messy but it was fun!

We kept seeing deer but I never had my camera when they were out. They were surprisingly close to our camper. But I did get pictures of Matthew's "crane family" These things creep me out.
